Stumbled across this place on accident why traveling around…and so very happy I did! The food is pretty close to authentic, but the vibe and decor are what would bring me back again and again. Really confused about some of these other reviews. I thought this was some of the best food I ever had in my 48 years of living. Our service was wonderful as well as the bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp, black mussels and my main course. The flavor was unreal! The vibe was very inviting and especially love how they celebrate your birthday! Keep up the good work. Jesus couldn't please everybody and some live to complain....I will you see you soon

And as a vegan, I was Impressed that they had a separate vegetarian menu (was easy to convert to vegan) a special for each day. They’re very attentive and the staff is friendly and resourceful! The decor is nice, loving the ambience. Best spot in Mooresville!

Casa Azteca is a new hidden gem in Mooresville that’s absolutely worth the visit. It’s easy to miss since it’s tucked away off the main road, but once inside you’ll be glad you found it. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by beautiful artwork and a warm, stylish atmosphere that sets the tone for a fine dining experience—without the fine dining price tag. My friend and I went in blind to celebrate her birthday, and we were both blown away. From the glowing Kindle menus to the tableside fresh guacamole, the details make it feel like something special. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well worth the money. Drinks were spot on, too—this is definitely the type of place you could come just for cocktails and conversation. If you’re celebrating a birthday, I highly recommend it (I won’t spoil the surprise, but trust me, it’s a fun touch!). The only downsides for me: the booth seating isn’t the most comfortable if you’re bigger than a size medium, and I felt the house-made seasoning could use a pinch more salt—and I’m someone who almost never says that. Overall, Casa Azteca delivers a memorable dining experience and is a fantastic addition to Mooresville. I can’t wait to go back!

First time dining at Casa Azteca and we were pleasantly surprised. The outside looked somewhat like a chain restaurant; however, the inside feels like an infusion of a metropolitan New York City bar, humble courtyard in Jalisco, Mexico coupled with modern menus, table lights, and ambiance. The prices seem a little higher at first, but the serving size, quality, and ambiance makes up for the difference. I ordered the Carne Asada (Marinaded Steak) and Camarōnes (Shrimp) and my wife ordered Shrimp Fajitas. Her shrimp were large and my carne asada could be cut with a butter knife. Both were very flavorful as well as the rice and beans. For drinks we had a Dos XX Lager with a lime and a Piña Colata. My wife claims it was the best Piña Colata she has ever had and trust me she has had a few over the years. The drinks are somewhat affordable although they have a look and quality of a $35 cocktail from a high end bar. The cotton candy martini has my curiosity for next time. We had no business having desert since we couldn’t finish our meals due to the larger serving size, but we decided to indulge. We had the Flan and the Fried Ice Cream both excellent. The ambiance was nice. Mexican and flamenco music played in the background and we recognized modern cover songs played in the Mexican genre. The lights were dim however, the menus had a pleasant backlighting so us old guys don’t have to bring out the iPhone spotlight to see what we are ordering. The small table lights provide a romantic glow which adds to the experience. We sat in the middle section which gives an outside courtyard feel, but you can sit in a separate room or along the outside perimeter in booth seating for a more isolated feel. If you have a birthday, they have a great way of celebrating it with you and I will leave the surprise for you without spoiling the experience. If you would like to save some money, they have $2.50 tacos for Taco Tuesday and specials Monday thru Friday including Ladies Night ($5.00 wine, tequila and special drinks which the price is also for the boys) I want to give a special shout out to our server Marie Paula who did an excellent job and Kevin Arias, the General Manager, who was a big part of setting up Casa Azteca and customizing the experience. If you are looking for a higher end Mexican Restaurant experience without the the higher end bill, Casa Azteca is for you.
